Latest on the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’
As it was bound to be with a bill this big and a majority this narrow, every concession made to a hold-out senator is a Rubix’s Cube. A small move here, scrambles the whole pattern. It’s a delicate process.
But two overarching truths are driving this bill toward passage. The first is this is the agenda that Donald Trump, and Republicans, ran on in 2024 and agenda that voters demanded be implemented.
Second, not passing this bill would sock working-class Americans, middle-class families, with a massive tax increase.
